Flights to PolandOver the last few years flights to Poland have become a lot cheaper. Before the budget airlines came on the scene, the only way to fly to Poland was with the national airline-LOT but now there are a handful of other airline offering cheap flights to Poland.Perhaps the most popular destination for foreign tourists is Krakow. This is also one of the most popular air routes to Poland and consequently there are plenty of cheap flights to Krakow. If you happen to book during one of the many flight promotions that the airlines periodically offer then a flight to Krakow could cost from as little as £ 35 return ! Warsaw is the capital of Poland and is visited by an increasing number of tourists as well as businessmen. Warsaw flights are also very frequent and the airfare to Warsaw can be bought from as little as £ 40 return. Gdansk is being touted as the "new Krakow" and is still largely undiscovered by British & Irish tourists. However, many of the budget airlines provide a very good choice of flights to Gdansk. List

Instead walk 100 metres to the main terminal and then catch a ride with one of the above named taxi companies. See our "handy tips for dealing with Polish taxi drivers" at the bottom of this page. hotels in Warsaw will provide a complimentary

Taxis from Krakow Airport to city centre Transfers from Katowice airport :-Buses from Katowice Airport to Krakow city centre
For passengers travelling with Wizz Air and with their end destination being Krakow then I strongly recommend booking a Wizz Air shuttle bus. This can be booked on Wizz Air's own website or directly online with the bus operator here. It's possible to buy tickets once on the shuttle bus but there is a risk all the seats may have been taken. Prices for a one way journey from Katowice airport to Krakow city centre are approx £ 9.16 with the journey time being approximately 1.5 hours. Taxis from Katowice Airport to Krakow city centre As Katowice airport is a good 1 - 1.5 hour drive from Krakow then taking a taxi is an expensive option. Expect to pay around £ 55 for a one way journey. See

drivers" at the bottom of this page. Transfers from Gdansk Lech Walesa airport :-
The Gdansk City Bus Line
B runs between Gdansk airport and the city centre
with a ticket priced at approx. £ 1. However, unless
you're on a shoestring budget then I'd recommend
taking a taxi. Transfers from Wroclaw airport :-Wroclaw airport is similar to Gdansk in that the airport isn't that far from the city centre. A one way taxi fare should cost somewhere in the region of £ 10. The #
406 bus runs from Wroclaw airport to the city centre
and a ticket costs approx. £ 9. ************************************************** Handy tips for dealing with Polish taxi drivers* Always use a marked taxi with company name and phone number on the vehicle. * Be prepared ! Write the name of your hotel/apartment on a piece of paper along with the phone number. Give this to the taxi driver and then ask in Polish "Ile
