Warsaw hotels

Being the capital city you would expect Warsaw to have the best selection of hotels and it doesn't disappoint. It lacks the pedestrian friendly atmosphere of Krakow but don't be fooled by some of the guide books that paint the city as grey and drab-there are some wonderful places to visit here. Warsaw. Warsaw hotels are located all over the city and because Warsaw doesn't really have a "tourist area" i.e. it's more of a sprawling city with the tourist attractions dotted all across the city then it's difficult to recommend an ideal location for your hotel stay.

We could suggest you look for a hotel near Stare Miasto or the Old Town of Warsaw but then you would be a considerable walking distance away from Lazienki park which we believe is one of the finest parks in Europe. The best advice we could give you is to possibly look for a hotel that has good transport links either to the nearest bus lines or tram line.

One of our particular favourites is the Polonia Palace, opposite the Palace of Culture. The Polonia was the only standing hotel after Warsaw was razed to the ground by the Nazis in World War Two and after an expensive facelift the Polonia is now one of the finest hotels in the city.

The Intercontinental is another luxury hotel in the city and although it lacks the heritage of the Polonia it's no less comfortable. At the other end of the spectrum you can find decent budget hotels for only £ 30 a night !
